Transferring Patterns

There are many ways to transfer a pattern,

use a sunny window or a light box and trace the pattern with a pencil, permanent pen, washable marker or a disappearing marker.

When ever I can I use a product called Transfer-Eze, it is a water soluble film, I print my pattern on this, peel the backing off and stick it onto my fabric.

When making small art quilts I print the pattern onto the Transfer-Eze, peel the backing off and stick it onto my fabric.  First  I embroider the words, then I add the batting and backing and quilt on the dashed lines. When I am finished with the pattern I soak the quilt in cold water for a few minutes and the Transfer-Eze will dissolve.  It works really well for me. I will use this on as many projects as I can.
